Abstract
In the within of the European Project “PON SICUREZZA” for the development of the South of Italy, our aim is monitoring the environmental safety of these Southern Italian Regions at risk, and checking the territory by remotely sensed data acquisition and processing. In this perspective we focused our attention on the census of internal hydrological resources and the monitoring of local sea thermal anomalies, and we used remote-sensing as investigation tool, referred to acquisition of information about objects without physical contact between the object and the sensor. In specific we used the airborne hyperspectral sensor MIVIS (Multispectral Infrared and Visible Imaging Spectrometer), property of the CNR (National Council of Research) that with its characteristics guarantees us both spectral and spatial high resolution.
