Abstract
Seed keys were developed to identify 16 blackgram cultivars [Vigna mungo] on the basis of morphological and chemical characteristics of seeds, viz. seed size, colour, seed coat peroxidase activity, phenol colour reaction, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide colour reaction.
