Copper (II) complexes with 2, 2′-bipyridine (bpy) and 1, 8-dibenzyl-1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13-
hexaazacyclotetradecane (macrocycle) immobilized between silicate layers of
montmorillonite and nanoreactors of MCM-41 successfully catalyze the epoxidation of
norbornene and trans-2-hexene-1-ol with good to excellent reactivity and 48–100%
selectivity toward the formation of the corresponding epoxides.
