Abstract
Pigeon InspiredOptimization (PIO) algorithm hasbeenwidelyusedinthefieldofUAVfor mationandcontrolparameteroptimization, butthestandardPIOalgorithmiseasytofallintolocaloptimum. ThispaperproposesanAdaptiveLearningPigeon InspiredOptimization (ALPIO) algorithm. Thealgorithmin troducesatolerance basedsearchdirectionadjustmentstrategy, aself learningcandidategenerationstrategy, andacompetitivelearningbasedpredictionstrategy. Byenhancingthediversityofthepopulation, theglobal optimalprobabilityofthealgorithmcanbeimproved. Thealgorithmhasbeentestedoneightbenchmarkfunc tions. Thesimulationresultsshowthattheconvergenceaccuracyandconvergencespeedofthealgorithminthe multi peakfunctionoptimizationproblemaresignificantlyimproved, anditcaneffectivelyavoidfallingintothe localoptimalsolution.
