Abstract Platies (Xiphophorus maculatus), goldfish (Carassius auratus), angelfish
(Pterophyllum scalare) and guppies (Poecilia reticulata) imported into Turkey between
October 2004 and Match 2005 were examined for the metacercarial cysts of Centrocestus
formosanus. Metacercariae of C. formosanus were only found encysted on the gills of
