For over several decades, shrimp seed production and farming in Vietnam has been being on the rapid growth with diversification in species, systems and intensification, scales and management firms. During different phases of development, the innovation in shrimp seed production and farming has been contributing significantly to socioeconomics of the Mekong Delta, particularly and the whole country, generally. This paper present major development milestones and current status of shrimp seed production and farming in Vietnam as a successful story as well as lesson learn of aquaculture industry.
