Given the increasingly global context of business, an international perspective on the legal
and regulatory environment pertaining to selection is certainly crucial for industrial and
organizational psychologists. However, despite the large number of countries included in
the Myors et al.(2008) review, Eastern Europe is generally overlooked. Although definitions
of Eastern Europe differ, the United Nations considers 10 countries to comprise this region:
