Introduction
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute febrile disease caused by the dengue virus via the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. Therefore it is necessary to monitor the population density of Aedes aegypti larvae through the value of the House Index or HI, the Container Index or CI, and the Breteau Breteau Index or BI. One of the cities in DKI Jakarta province that needs to be monitored is East Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to describe the values of HI, CI, and BI in the houses of residents in RT 7, RW 7, Tengah Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta City.
Methods
the design of this study was cross-sectional. An observation survey for Aedes aegypti larvae was carried out in 198 water storage sites (TPA) in 140 houses of RT 07 RW 07 Tengah Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta. The larvae sampling procedure was carried out using the single larva method. The validity of Aedes aegypti larvae was carried out by making preserved preparations and microscopic identification of the presence or absence of a sub-apical spine. Larvae found in each container were calculated for HI, CI, and BI values.
Results
in this study, the calculation of HI was 6.4%, CI was 5%, and BI was 7.1%.
Conclusion
based on the results of calculating the HI, CI, and BI values, the DF value is 2, or the population density of Aedes aegypti larvae in the residents of RT 07 RW 07 Tengah Kelurahan, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta is in the moderate category.
