As exercise capacity predicts survival in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients [1, 2], it is
warranted to increase and/or maintain peak oxygen uptake (VO2peak) after myocardial
infarction (MI). Limited knowledge exists on long-term effects of exercise programs for these
