The following chapter deals with the mechanical properties of glass-nanocomposites, and
their improvements. The chapter uses different glassy systems, studies properties like
Vickers hardness and Knoop's hardness, and describes in details the Vickers
microhardness and Knoop's analysis with the help of material properties like Young's
modulus, shear modulus, and yield stress. The chapter also explains ISE and RISE in detail.
