In this work, we present an application of a metasurface antenna where the antenna is used to capture an impression-image of a human female breast, thereby acting as an electronic film. The impression basically captures the electromagnetic near field arising from the re-radiation of the breast. We Show that such use of metasurfaces antennas, when used as receivers, can provide a potentially powerful diagnostic tool for breast cancer detection.
