This paper presents a method to miniaturize a balanced-to-unbalanced (balun) transition
using 3D printing while utilizing high permittivity polymer composites. The balun is a rat-race
hybrid coupler utilizing three ports designed with a stack of ABS, high-k composite material,
and LCP with permittivity of 2.6, 8.45, and 3.14 respectively. The balun is approximately 1.2
cm wide with a 3 dB power split and a 180 degree phase difference.
