Objective: to characterize the main adverse events reported at a hospital in Southern of
Minas Gerais in 2012. Method: transversal, descriptive and quantitative study, carried out by
the analysis of 189 notification records of adverse events from January to December 2012,
after approval of the research project by the Research Ethics Committee Protocol, 279,243.
