The non-biofouling properties of a zwitterionic sulfobetaine polymer surface were easily
made attractive to bioentities (eg, proteins and cells) by metal–polyphenol coating, and
spatio-selective functionalization of the zwitterionic polymer surface was achieved by using
a soft lithographic technique.
