Interaction between optically oriented electrons and lattice nuclei in semiconductors is
considered. Possible mechanisms of spin relaxation of electrons localized on shallow
donors and also the effect of a longitudinal magnetic field on this relaxation are considered.
Dynamic polarization of nuclei by electrons leads to the appearance of an effective magnetic
field which acts on the electron spin and is due to hyperfine interaction. By enhancing or
weakening the effect of the external magnetic field on the electron spin relaxation, this field …
