The optical properties of human skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue and human mucosa
were measured in the wavelength range 400–2000 nm. The measurements were carried out
using a commercially available spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere. The inverse
adding–doubling method was used to determine the absorption and reduced scattering
coefficients from the measurements.
Abstract
The optical properties of human skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue and human mucosa were measured in the wavelength range 400–2000 nm. The measurements were carried out using a commercially available spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere. The inverse adding–doubling method was used to determine the absorption and reduced scattering coefficients from the measurements.
