The quality of the electrical distribution system is very important in a power system. One of
the efforts has been able to make the distribution system more effective is the installation of

The Technique of Smalling Area was proposed to determine the optimal location and capacity of the distribution generator to improve the voltage profiles and reduce losses. Optimal conditions were obtained for 500 candidates, where the placement of DG on Buses 8, 12, 13, and 14 with DG sizes were 0.088 kW, 0.012 kW, 0.929 kW, and 0.489 kW, respectively. The proposed method was able to reduce distribution losses by 81.575% and provided better performance than the previously Genetic Algorithm method.
