The optical gain and output power of quantum dot (QD) lasers with different coverage factors
and cavity lengths have been investigated as a function of injection current that show
differences lasing from the ground state (GS) and exited state (ES) and in order to compare
numerical results for turn on delay we have calculated photon density for ground state.
