Pollen storage and pollen viability studies were carried out to standardize the optimum
duration of pollen storage and its effect on the tomato hybrid seed production technology of
Pusa Hybrid-4 under green house. One day stored pollen showed highest efficiency as
65.33 percent fruit set, 74.16 grams fruit weight and 76.87 numbers of seeds per fruit as
compared to fresh pollen and aged pollen. With the advance in pollen age, hybridization
