A new wastewater biosolids pyrolysis process coupled with downstream catalysis was
investigated. The low-cost natural catalyst was from a specific regional byproduct. The
process can synergistically treat regional wastes with wastewater biosolids to produce more
energy in the form of pyrolysis gas (py-gas) which is similar to anaerobic digester biogas
and can be readily utilized on site. The process can also upgrade and reduce the amount of
