The registration of distribution of Perccottus glenii in Latvia started since 2004 as a part of
the research on aquatic ecosystems of the target species Bombina bombina, Emys
orbicularis. The methods: scoop netting, angling, interviews with fishermen, and analyzes of
the data bases and publications. P. glenii was found in 55 points in Latvia. Our first finding of
