Abstract
Children, who are dependent on caregivers from birth, need them for basic care and guidance until they can gain their independence. A child, who develops as a whole with his family and environment, is adversely affected by the changing environmental conditions, exposure to traumatic events, loss of relatives, in terms of growth and development. Refugee children are one of the disadvantaged groups that experience these conditions the most. The innate human rights of children are becoming more important for disadvantaged groups. Health professionals working with children have a responsibility to support refugee children's comprehensive assessment and development within the scope of children's rights. In this review, it is aimed to highlight the situation of refugee children and their rights and freedoms within the scope of universal children's rights.
