This letter considers a cognitive radio network with radio frequency energy harvesting. The
transmissions of primary users (PUs) are the opportunities for a secondary user (SU) to
harvest energy, while the idle slots unoccupied by the PUs are the opportunities for the SU
to transmit data. The channel occupancy of the PUs is assumed to follow a two-state Markov
chain, which can model time-correlated traffic of the PUs. We propose a sensing strategy to
