A state observer is proposed for asynchronous machine; with this observer it possible to
observe rotor flux and rotating speed. The gain of this observer involves a design function
that has to satisfy some mild conditions which are given. Of particular interest, at the
powerful of Field-Oriented Control with the new observer. The control algorithm is studied
through simulations and applied in flux and speed profiles, and is shown to be very efficient.
