A study on the socio-economic importance of the family chickens was conducted in Mongu
and Kalabo districts of Western Province of Zambia. A total of 274 questionnaires (243 for
households and 31 for restaurants and selling points for family chickens) were administered
across the districts. Focused groups were also used to collect data.
