Debris population around the Earth pose a serious threat to all the existing space structures
like ISS, satellites and other valuable operational space assets. Collision between US
satellite Iridium and Russian defunct satellite Kosmos in 2009 in the low Earth orbit is a sad
example to this. A variety of non-functional or uncontrolled objects contribute to this
population including spent rocket bodies, dead satellites and the fractions thereof. This
population will continue to grow fast because of increasing number of space missions,
