One of the missions of Pekanbaru City to become the epicentre of Malay Culture in Southeast Asia is the development of halal tourism. Halal tourism is a type of tourism that follows the principles of Islamic sharia. The purpose of halal tourism is to provide a tourist experience that complies with Islamic principles and meets the needs of Muslim tourists. This study is expected to contribute to the management and development of halal tourism in Pekanbaru City in particular and generally in other regions in Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach that describes the state of the subjects and objects of research at the present time based on the facts that occur and seen as they are. This research shows that the development of digital-based halal tourism in Pekanbaru City is carried out by Designing Halal Tourism Strategies and Action Plans (DSRA), Drafting Halal Tourism Regulations, Tourism Attractions and Developing digital-based economic potential.
