[PDF][PDF] Synthesis of bismuth vanadate as visible-light photocatalyst

AH Abdullah, NM Ali, MIM Tahir - Malays J Anal Sci, 2009 - ukm.my
Abstract Bismuth Vanadate (BiVO4) photocatalyst was synthesized by precipitation methods.
Two different sources of bismuth namely bismuth acetate and bismuth nitrate pentahydrate
were used. The bismuth solutions were mixed with ammonium metavanadate solution
before being titrated against ammonium hydrogen carbonate solution. The precipitate
formed using bismuth acetate (B1) was calcined at 450 oC and that of bismuth nitrate was
calcined at 450oC (B2) and 300oC (B3) under air flow for 4h. The resulting powder were …

Synthesis of bismuth vanadate as visible-light photocatalyst by precipitation reaction

SM Kim, JY Lee, CY Mun, HS Lee - Journal of the Korean Ceramic Society, 2011 - jkcs.or.kr
ABSTRACT Bismuth vanadate ($ BiVO_4 $) with monoclinic phase as photocatalyst under
visible light is synthesized by precipitation reaction in hot water. Properties such as crystal
phase, particle morphology and visual light absorbance as well as the effects of thermal
treatment for $ BiVO_4 $ powders are investigated. $ BiVO_4 $ powders with both single
monoclinic phase and 0.2${mu} m $ in particle size are synthesized when precipitate is
stirred in water for 5 h at 95$^{circ} C $. Well-developed monoclinic phase and light …
