The 1100° C isothermal section of the Ti-Ni-Si ternary system

X Hu, G Chen, C Ion, K Ni - Journal of phase equilibria, 1999 - Springer
The isothermal section of the Ti-Ni-Si ternary system at 1100° C was constituted. Twenty-one
single-phase areas were determined. The binary Ti 3 Si phase proposed to occur at 1100° C
was not found in the investigation. A new phase, with the composition of NiTi 4 Si 4 named
H, was detected. Some of the ternary compounds show noticeable composition ranges,
especially G′-Ni 3 Ti 2 Si.

The 1100° C isothermal section of the Ti-Co-Si ternary system

X Hu, G Chen, I Cinca - Journal of phase equilibria, 2001 - Springer
The 1100° C isothermal section of the Ti-Co-Si ternary system has been determined, for
which 24 single-phase fields, 42 two-phase fields, and 22 three-phase fields were detected.
Ten ternary phases were detected; these include eight previously reported in the literature
plus two previously reported, H (Ti 4 CoSi 4) and J (Ti 3 Co 2 Si). The I phase, whose
crystallographic data have not been reported before, is found to be orthorhombic with a=
0.7961 nm, b= 0.7048 nm, and c= 0.5467 nm. Except for K and H, all ternary phases show …
