The carnivores studied in this article come from two stratigraphic levels: the lower level is
situated into a series of red-beds (Gerakarou Fm), the upper level is situated in sandy-
argillaceous beds (Platanochori Fm). The material is described, compared, discussed and
the following species have been determined: Canis etruscus, Canis arnensis, Vulpes
alopecoides, Meles dimitrius n. sp., Pliohyaena perrier, Pliohyaena brevirostris, Lynx
