ABSTRACT A descriptive research was carried out to determine the adoption and training
needs of arable crop farmers and agricultural extension agents (AEAs) in soil and water
conservation technologies in the Tolon-Kumbungu District of the Northern Region of Ghana.
The stratified random sampling method, based on the types of crop cultivated by the farmers,
