BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: For diagnostic lumbar medial-branch blocks,
fluoroscopic guidance is considered mandatory, but this technique comes with radiation
exposure. The clinical feasibility of the ultrasound-guided lumbar medial-branch block has
