ADDIE Model has been used widely to design instructional strategies in the school context as it helps educators to analyse, design, develop, implement, and evaluate the teaching and learning activities. The aim of this paper is to discuss the ADDIE model in instructional strategies to improve secondary schools teacher competencies. The method used in this study is literature reviews approach. The study shows that the ADDIE model can be adopted to design instructional strategies by developing several teaching competencies of the classroom teachers. The improved competencies in this study can be defined in some points such as:(1) Teaching planning;(2) Application of curriculum;(3) Pedagogical knowledge:(4) Using of technology;(5) Classroom environment; and (6) Social competency. The conclusion of this study is that ADDIE model plays important role in improving teacherscompetencies to design effective instructional strategies of secondary school teachers. It is recommended the further studies to obtain empirical data related to the analysis of ADDIE model in teaching competency of teachers.
