Resource management is a primary research area of concern in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) since the sensors are battery powered devices. An efficient power control technique is essential to maintain reliable communication links in WSN, to maximise the battery life of the sensor node and in turn the sensor network. Hence every sensor should transmit at optimum power while maintaining connectivity and reducing interference. A proper node deployment scheme can lessen the problems in WSN such as routing, data gathering and communication. Besides, it can extend the lifetime of WSNs by minimizing energy consumption. Further to reduce the fading effects in wireless channel, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) scheme is utilised for sensor network. This paper discusses a game theoretic model with pricing for power control in a WSN considering triangular, square and hexagonal deployment schemes in Virtual MIMO WSN. Simulation results show that the game with pricing considering triangular deployment scheme provides maximum utility for minimal transmission power.
