BACKGROUND: White spot lesions (WSL) are an unsightly and a rather frequent drawback
of orthodontic treatment. The complex design of fixed orthodontic appliances (FAs) makes it
difficult to perform proper oral hygiene, which amounts to white spot lesions being three
