The glasses of the composition [Sb2O3]x [Al2O3]y – x : [Ho2O3]0.1 [PbO]30 [SiO2]59.9 have chosen for present synthesis (where, 0 ≤ x ≤ 10 ; 10 ≥ y ≥ 0; step size = 2 mol%) are prepared. Prepared samples are characterized by both structural (FT-IR, DTA, EDS, SEM & XRD) & optical (TL, UV & PL) techniques. The evolutions of YM, MH, GTT & Thermal stability suggested that the samples prepared are mechanically hard. TL studies under 30 min of γ - irradiation are reported. Which are found to be best for the sample ‘Sb6’ exhibiting good SSF (u = 0.384) and low AE’s (Eτ = 1.871, Eδ = 1.658 & Eω = 1.809) under 30 min of γ - irradiation might be good TL asset. Judd - Ofelt theory is used to study the UV spectrum of these glass series of materials. All radiative parameters corresponding to these glass materials calculated.
Radiative out comes such as J-O [Ω2 (7.51), Ω4 (6.71) & Ω6 (4.01)} x 10−20 cm2], SQF (χ = 0.892), EBW (Δλ = 28 nm), SECS (σ = 1.44 × 10−20 cm2), TP (At = 3489 s-1), RLT (τrad = 185 μs) and BR (β = 61 %) parameters are suggesting that the sample code ‘Sb6’ might be useful luminescent resource.
