This study aimed to grasp the characteristics of users of a mobile sales wagon and their
purchasing points in outskirt areas of Tokyo. The results showed that not only distance but
other elements (crossing wide streets, steep slopes or inadequate arrangement of walking
spaces) affected the demand of the service. Other results suggested that even those who
used cars to far grocery stores also often demanded the service of mobile sales wagon,
besides elderly people who couldn't use cars.
Abstract
