A general method for the synthesis of glycerophospholipids

KS Bruzik, G Salamonczyk, WJ Stec - The Journal of Organic …, 1986 - ACS Publications
The progress in this area has often relied upon the de-velopment of new methods originally
designed for the synthesis of nucleic acid fragments. 5 Recently, the synthesis of
phosphoricacid diesters has been improved with a procedure for the selective introduction of
alkoxy functions at the phosphorus atom usingphosphoroamidites. 6, 7 Although this method
is now being widely used for the synthesis of oligodeoxyribonucleotides on solid-phase
support, 8 it has not yet been sufficiently exploited toprove its suitability for the synthesis of …

A general method for the synthesis of glycerophospholipids and their analogs via H-phosphonate intermediates

I Lindh, J Stawinski - The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1989 - ACS Publications
A general chemical method for the synthesis of glycerophospholipids and their analogues
via H-phosphonate intermediates has been developed. It was found that l, 2-
dipalmitoylglycero-3-H-phosphonate, prepared by the reaction of 1, 2-dipalmitoylglycerol
with PCl3/imidazole, reacts with various hydroxylic components (choline tosylate, N-(fert-
butoxycarbonyl) ethanolamine, TV-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-L-serine) in the presence of
condensing agents to produce in highyield the corresponding glycero-3-H-phosphonate …
