In order to better benefit from the advantages of asynchronous e-learning, we propose an
approach which improves the quality of distance training. Indeed, each learner has a profile
different from the others and aspires to reach a course which meets his needs and fits his

Abstract
In order to better benefit from the advantages of asynchronous e-learning, we propose an approach which improves the quality of distance training. Indeed, each learner has a profile different from the others and aspires to reach a course which meets his needs and fits his abilities. In such way that the learner takes the course at his own rate. Our approach is based on the adaptativity of the course, as well in form as in contents, on the learner profile which takes into account the learner’s abilities and expectations and his hardware and network environment. The collaboration between the learners, with the teachers and also directly on the" course" document, ensures an interactive teaching which guarantees the compliance with the pedagogical rules. The realization of the system using XML made possible the implementation of all of these characteristics.
