Over the span of the last ten years, there has been a growing imperative to investigate developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable manufacturing supply chain (SMSC) in light of the increasing significance of sustainability within the manufacturing sector. The current study therefore employs methodical bibliometric analysis and cluster analysis to examine scholarly literature concerning the convergence of AI and SMSC. Vosviewer software has been used for generating bibliographic map and seven theme based clusters have identified from the cluster analysis. This study has identified 77 articles from the Scopus database. The findings of this investigation will offer significant perspectives on the several key research gaps, current research trends, potential utilization of these technologies to facilitate sustainable manufacturing practices and promote a sustainable future. The study also provides fascinating insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers regarding optimal strategies, obstacles, prospects, and highlight potential areas for future research associated with the integration of AI and SMSC.
