A series of silicon (IV) phthalocyanines axially substituted with methylparaben,
ethylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben groups were synthesized and studied as
photosensitizers for antimicrobial photodynamic therapy. The absorption, fluorescence,
photodegradation and singlet oxygen generation properties of the synthesized Si (IV)
