Male toads of the Bufonidae Family have rudimentary ovaries designated Bidder's organs,
and if the testes are removed this organ develops into a functional ovary, representing a
morphological strategy for the reproduction of the species. The Bidder's organ of Bufo
ictericus was examined using routine and histochemical techniques by light microscopy and
