Acinetobacter haemolyticus, a Gram-negative aerobic locally isolated bacterium,
immobilized on wood-husk showed the ability to detoxify Cr (VI) to Cr (III). Wood-husk, a
natural cellulose-based support material, packed in an upward-flow column was used as
