the seroprevalence of brucellosis. Samples were analysed using the rose Bengal plate test
(RBPT) and antibody titres were measured using the standard tube agglutination test
(STAT). It was shown that 123 (60.59%) samples were positive by RBPT. There were
variations in the comparative results between RBPT and STAT tests. While RBPT is a
qualitative screening test, STAT is a quantitative confirmatory test.
