The impact of a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in the CD24 gene on the risk and
progression of multiple sclerosis (MS) was investigated in the Iranian population. Our data
revealed that the susceptibility and the progression of MS in individuals with the CD24V/V
genotype were greater than in those with the CD24A/V and CD24A/A genotypes.
