Purpose To correlate carotid dose and risk of carotid blowout syndrome (CBOS) after
stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), hypothesizing that carotid dose does not
correlate with CBOS. Methods and Materials We retrospectively reviewed 186 patients with
recurrent, previously irradiated head and neck cancer treated between January 2008 and
