The analysis of children's activity-travel patterns and time-use is gaining increasing attention
in several fields. This paper discusses the treatment of children within current activity-based
travel demand modeling systems and conceptualizes an alternative framework for
simulating the daily activity-travel patterns of children. Overall, the research effort details the
current state of children's travel behavior analysis and highlights areas for future research.
