Objective The aim of this study was to compare the therapeutic efficacy of high-power pain
threshold (HPPT) ultrasound therapy applied to the trigger points and dry needling (DN) in
myofascial pain syndrome. Design Sixty-one patients were randomly assigned to an HPPT
