The present study investigates the damage evolution behavior of brass alloy under fatigue
loading. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) observations and profilometric analyses were
carried out on the specimens surfaces fatigued at different loading conditions. It was show
that the damage process was controlled by the formation of slip bands and homogenously
apparition of crack parallel to the loading axial direction.
