Abstract
Active Queue Management (AQM) mechanisms have been introduced to assist the TCP/IP congestion control. The focus is on so-called anti-windup techniques to provide constructive Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) conditions for the synthesis of anti-windup compensators while guaranteeing the stability of the closed-loop system. In addition, some interesting extensions and open problems are discussed, such as nested saturations, the presence of timevarying delays in the state or the input, and anti-windup for non-linear systems. Finally, simulation of the system shows the accuracy of the analytical estimates.
